I am an Indian contemporary fine artist based in the United Kingdom. Primarily a figurative painter, my practice also spans sculpture and photography. My work explores gender politics, female desire, and the shame associated with it.

I recently graduated with an MFA in Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, and hold a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts (2022) from the College of Fine Arts, Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath, Bengaluru. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science (2018) from Christ University, Bengaluru, where I studied a triple major in Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology.

I developed an early interest in figurative painting and material experimentation. My current practice combines fragmented bodies, symbolic imagery, and gestural compositions to investigate human desire and the complexities of embodiment. I work across watercolour, emulsion, oil, and charcoal, using the material qualities of each medium to explore intimacy, vulnerability, and the experience of inhabiting the body.

Following my BVA, I worked as a fine art teacher before moving to the UK. Since then, I have actively participated in exhibitions, workshops, performances, and art fairs across India and the UK. My professional experience also includes exhibition curation, installation, and gallery management, including work with Crypt Gallery, London, and Blackbox Project Space at UCA. I have exhibited my work at Heathland Artworks in Surrey for two consecutive years, the Crafts Study Centre, Farnham, and in Gallery 1 Shanti Road, Bengaluru. I was also recently shortlisted for the Venice Biennale Fellowship 2026.

At the heart of my practice is a desire to make visible the experiences we are often taught to hide. Through painting and other forms of making, I transform encounters with desire, shame, and vulnerability into spaces where personal becomes political, where viewers might recognise something of themselves.
